[*] Scope of Service:

Vendor needs to provide tobacco quit line services
- Seeking a provider of tobacco cessation telephone counseling services to tobacco users, family/friends of tobacco users
- Comprehensive tobacco/nicotine cessation services are required to be provided in English and Spanish, with tailored services for populations disparately affected by nicotine addiction as identified
- seeking services that include:
- Telephone coaching for tobacco cessation
- Web/online tools and coaching
- Text messaging support
- Email encouragement/support
- Self-help materials
- Pharmacotherapy for tobacco cessation
- Online education for people who smoke, vape, or use other forms of tobacco
- Online education resources for Healthcare Professionals
- Traditional fax, electronic medical record (EMR) fax, and web-based referral systems
- Submit reports on services provided (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly)
- Demonstrate ability to work with partners on research projects
- provide culturally competent tobacco cessation quitline services, including at least: telephone counseling, online/web services, text messaging, email support, self-help materials, over the counter nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) for healthcare professionals and individuals, and traditional fax, EMR fax, and web-based referral systems
- Online services will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week with no down time except for maintenance
- A 24 hour a day, seven days a week live response is preferred; the minimum requirement is to provide live response seven days a week from 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. Live response is not required on Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
- For the 12 months ending June 30, 2023, Quitline services volumes were:
- Telephone counseling calls, approximately 150 each month
- NRT orders, approximately 340 each month
- Spanish telephone counseling calls, approximately 10 each month
- Fax and online referrals, approximately 175 each month
- Web counseling approximately 250 each month
- Text messages, email, and materials only, approximately 200 each month.
