[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal

[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide problem gambling helpline and 24 X 7 confidential phone helpline services to respond to concerns and issues related to problem gambling.
- 24/7 telephone helplines, online chat, and crisis support services
- Motivational and appointment reminder messages
- Providing educational information to all callers about the nature of gambling behavior
- Conduct a telephonic or online chat assessment to assess the caller’s level of risk of harm to self or others
- Collect helpline user demographics and information regarding the gambling behavior and nature of the gambling problem, related consequences and other issues of concern, such as co-occurring substance misuse or abuse or mental health concerns and symptoms
- Connect the helpline user directly to an approved Minnesota gambling treatment provider whenever possible and if the caller agrees
- Place a follow-up call within 36 hours of the initial contact if the caller agrees to a follow-up call
- Successful Responder must have the capacity to maintain continuous telephone and chat contact with the helpline user to directly connect the caller with an appropriate gambling treatment provider
- Provide live service answerability on a 24-hour basis. Live service indicates that the call or chat will be able to talk with a person sometime during the course of the conversation
- Demonstrate the capacity to handle multiple, simultaneous in-coming and out-going calls and online chats.
(2) A responder conference will be held on December 16, 2022.
(3) All questions must be submitted no later than December 20, 2022.
