Vendor needs to provide 24 X 7 X 365 military, veterans and teen suicide prevention behavioral health crisis telephone line services
- 24 hours 7 days a week 365 days a year behavioral health crisis telephone line services for active members of the military, veterans and for youth aged between 12 – 21 years
- Services are intended to assist individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis and require brief crisis support, triage, and referral to local resources for ongoing treatment and services
- Major Service components include:
- 24/7, 365 days/year crisis line response for individuals and their support network seeking mental health crisis assistance
- Crisis counseling and supportive engagement
- Triage/Referral to local resources
- Interpreter service
- TDD for hearing impaired callers
- Online engagement (social media presence)/text crisis response
- The program offers the following services: deploys mobile crisis resources, crisis counseling, treatment information and referral, linkage to behavioral health services (urgent and routine), community education on suicide prevention, and authorizations for indigent medications, crisis housing and transportation
- Purchase twenty-four hour a day, seven day a week crisis line services from a non-profit agency who has at least 24 months of experience serving active military, veterans and youth populations
- Behavioral health crisis line response provided by trained volunteers/peers who are closely supervised by mental health clinicians.
- Crisis line response twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year
- Crisis counseling and support for active military, veterans, youth populations and their support network
- Education and outreach for family members of individuals in crisis
- Provide alternative communication options such as online chat and text messaging
- Follow-up as needed
- Referral to local resources, including behavioral health providers, housing agencies, 2-1-1 and other supports
- Linkage to County Call Center as appropriate
- Attend work groups, regular or ad-hoc meetings necessary for County crisis system planning and coordination.
