[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide after-hours telephone answering and messaging services for after-hours call handling from individuals seeking to speak with Broward Health after-hours on-call medical providers.
- Calls will be screened and routine messages will be sent to the office daily to include patient name, nature of call, a call back number and best time to call
- Physicians are to be paged for urgent/emergent calls with follow up calls if the call back has exceeded reasonable call back time expectation.
- Minimal wait times and/or the option for the caller to receive a call back, must be available, if the line is busy or wait times are extreme.
- Daily call reports faxed to Broward Health the following business day detailing dates and time of calls, caller names, caller dates-of-birth, nature of each call, and on call provider contacted.
- Ability to identify the site being called by the after-hours caller
- Sufficient back-up capability to avoid any interruption in after-hours telephone answering coverage in the event of vendor’s equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstance
- Live operator must be available 24 hours with language interpreter capability per request and the ability to communicate with deaf and hard of hearing patients
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than September 4, 2019.
(3) Contract period will be three years.
