[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals

[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide language interpretation and translation services for languages like Spanish, Nepali, Arabic, Portuguese, Chinese, Italian, Russian, Korean and all other languages.
- Foreign language interpretation is the oral interpretation of a spoken language into another
language.
- language assistance services in-person, face-to-face, video remote interpreting and or telephone foreign language interpretation services.
A. Language Interpretation Services: -
1. Provide face-to-face and video remote interpreting access (from English to another language or vice versa) for clients in a professional and timely manner.
2. Ensure interpreters are professionally trained, having completed a minimum of 40- hours of community, health or legal interpretation.
B. Language Interpretation Services (Telephone): -
1. Provide 24 X 7 telephone interpretation services for clients in a professional manner.
2. Provide video remote interpreting capabilities on demand and by reservation. Please indicate on demand languages available as well as languages that must be reserved in advance.
3. Provide a toll-free number for staff to access interpretation 24 hours a day, seven day a week.
C. Language Written Translation Services: - The transferring of written words and concepts from one language to another. accurate translation requires fluency in both languages involved. examples of county documents for translating include brochures, letters, and legal documents. the county requires that translators produce accurate, complete and readable translations considering cultural nuances and idioms. furthermore, it requires that all translations be reviewed by another staff or team before submitting final translation to the county.
1. Provide written translation services (from English to another language or vice versa) and document formatting.
2. Translation services shall be provided at the Contractor work site and in other locations that are mutually agreed upon.
3. Provide translations services for use in an electronic format, including but not limited to electronic documents and webpage content.
4. Work with County staff to provide appropriate translation files, maintain accurate documentation of English and second language translations in an archive format.
- Contractor shall ensure that language interpretation and translations services are technically correct and culturally proper. - Contractor shall be able to deliver language interpretation service within minutes to up to three (3) days after receiving request from the County
- Contractor shall provide reports, on request, of service usage, languages requested and total amount spent on services.
(2) Contract period will be for three years.
